Ekanath has been fascinated by the whole Christmas thing. He was a little too young last year to really know it was going on but this time he has been very curious about the whole thing. After explaining it to him he has decided he would like to address you all and he has asked me to introduce him (I pointed out he needs no introduction, but you know how he is!). Anyway, without further ado, may I introduce to you his Furship, Ekanath!
Friends! Readers! Cat lovers!
It is with a great sense of pride and tradition that I address you today on this most important day, Crisp-mass eve!
Until recently I had never heard of Crisp-mas before. I mean I know Mam-mams likes crisps all year round but I had no idea you funny people had several days specifically dedicated to them. Anyway, I asked monkey butler about it and he has done his best to explain it to me. It seems that many of you celebrate this Crisp-mas every year, to many of you it has a particular religious significance and I can respect that. Anyway, apparently you celebrate this by decorating your houses with cat-toys that you don't let your cats play with! (this seems particularly odd to me, I must say), feasting (I can certainly respect that) and drinking (whatever takes your fancy I suppose) as well as giving each other gifts (okay, this sounds quite good).
I have noticed that quite a few of you have been coming to the house to present tribute to Mam-mams and monkey butler and some of you have even given them gifts for me. I would particularly like to thank the Bobs and Elaine who sent me a very large bag of my favorite kibbles and a bag of some very tasty cat-treats. Thank you!
Monkey butler also explained that for those of you who celebrate this Crisp-mas it is considered a time of peas on Earth and good will to all. Now I'm not fond of peas and I wasn't aware that they aren't usually found of Earth but whatever. The good will to all sounds sort of nice so I would like to wish you all a very happy crisp-mas filled with good cheer, good will and many happy memories. All the best from your favorite celebrity cat, (no not the grouchy one! ME!). Merry Crisp-Mas and may the odds be ever in your favor!
